The Defense segment within DuPont Safety & Construction business is an exciting business focused on personal protection for soldiers and law enforcement focused on providing innovative materials used in soft body armor, hard body armor (helmets & plates), protective uniforms, and vehicle armoring. The needs and expectations of personal protective equipment for military and law enforcement personnel continues to change to increase comfort while improving protection and performance of the wearer. We have several great brands used to promote our innovative products including Kevlar, Nomex and Tensylon. The Defense segment is a growth segment with the expectation of investment in key initiatives for sustainable growth.
Responsible for driving the critical growth initiatives consistent with the overall strategy including new verticals, new business models, and new offerings within the Defense segment. The role may also be the business lead on major growth initiatives and programs where leveraged project resources are required to execute a complex project. Executes market assessments and phase 1 (scouting) execution for future growth initiatives. Where needed, drives the integrated growth plans for the segment within their region.
Drives and manages existing portfolio of initiatives and growth initiatives consistent with the strategy
Identifies, assesses, and generates new business opportunities in current and adjacent markets aligned with overall market strategy
Executes specific prioritized growth programs/initiatives in the regions & globally
With the Global Marketing Manager and the Industry Vertical Manager, provides the integration of the cross-functional segment team, and where needed, for the segment in a region
Orchestrates the establishment and growth of core business (existing business) in less developed or less penetrated target region(s)
Measures performance based on the delivery of specified growth initiatives
Bachelor's degree or above with MBA as a plus.
2 years of marketing/product management or sales experience.
Proven ability to drive execute through a cross-functional team
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferably some experience in Military and/or Law Enforcement Markets
Strong Microsoft Office skills (including Excel)
Excellent written and oral English.
High travel (40-60%)
