What You Will Do

  • Strategically create a collaborative plan in respective market to identify Greenland, Large GPO/IDN/RFP habitats via MSA data, and execute on taking this market share unrelated or related to new talent

  • Provide technical expertise in spine. Provide support of key cases when needed coverage and convey technical competence to key customers and sales team.

  • Ability to illustrate and define industry relationships, and historical spine experience with those said relationships of surgeons, administrators, colleagues, and competitors.

  • Demonstrate ability and competence to influence, lead, recruit, and hire new substantial spine representatives

  • Discover and close new hospital or surgeon opportunities leading to increased revenue and market penetration

  • Sell and communicate 5 dimensionally (Up with VP Strategic Growth, Across with US Director Strategic Sales and AVP's, Across with Strategic Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers, and Down with Sales Channels (Agents and Reps), and internally with VP Pricing, HR, Finance and Legal

  • Through coordinated due diligence, and via obtained market intelligence, identify Strategic Directors with agreements leveraging capital equipment, implant and disposable pricing, and cross-divisional resources to secure greater utilization of and commitment to Stryker.

  • Proactive pricing collaboration and contract management in assigned accounts, IDN's, and/or GPO's as directed by SSD's and via legacy sales channel and surgeon relationships

  • Develop and manage Market Development target list in concert with Strategic Sales that identifies the biggest conversion opportunities for our competition in each market

  • Contract management of assigned market hires

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 10 or more years experience.

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 Posting Description The Development Director implements the annual fundraising plan, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to set fundraising goals and craft strategies that sustain and increase annual support from individuals, corporations, foundations, governments, and faith communities. Success is measured by fundraising initiatives and activities that align with annual and long-range development goals. The Development Director supervises and coaches three development managers and a grant coordinator. This position is part of a strategic growth plan aimed at doubling the number of families served by Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity in Connecticut. It is a key part of leveraging an internationally known brand to attract and attract and retain supporters through a great donor experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Lead the development cycle, including identification, qualification, stewardship, recognition, and retention strategies, including creation and implementation of formal development plan in collaboration with CEO and development managers. * Ensure positive and purposeful contact with all prospects and donors. Move potential donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation and gift closure. * Work closely with development team, department directors and staff in support of events, campaigns, and other related fundraising activities in support of the development plan. * Participate in ongoing decisions regarding database design, data collection, data analysis, and methodology. * Participate in fundraising programs with Habitat for Humanity International and other strategic partners. * Adhere to the highest ethical standards; demonstrate empathetic disposition, and perseverance; reflect optimistic and positive attitude, and convey sensitivity to needs of the donors. * Travel within service area to accompany development managers as needed to visit current donors and prospective partners. * Meet annual performance goals. * Act as a passionate and informed advocate and serve as a key representative for the organization for events and other speaking engagements * Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: * Minimum BA/BS degree in a relevant field; advanced degree and/or fundraising certification preferable. * 8-10 years of experience in coaching, managing, and evaluating front-line fundraisers against fundraising objectives. Major gift and campaign experience required. * Respect for and openness to learning about diverse families, communities, and religions. * Ability to successfully manage both short- and long-term responsibilities of the position, implementation of program goals and objectives, and administrative support for the program. * Successful experience developing cultivation and solicitation strategies, including moves management plans. * A demonstrable track record of fund-raising accomplishments is essential, including experience in identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors giving $10,000+. * Highly capable in relationship building and relationship management. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills in various social and professional settings to ensure positive relationships with colleagues, donors, and volunteers. * Committed to delivering excellent internal and external customer service as part of a Best Place to Work team. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. Professional, articulate speaker comfortable with public speaking. * Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings as required. Occasional travel. * Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a good driving record. * Prefer a candidate with previous Habitat for Humanity experience. * Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and internet research.
