Job Title: Market Developer (Hemp Champion)

Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Location: Seymour, IN with some flexibility for remote work

Start Date: Immediate Hire (Negotiable based on availability)

Job Description:

KDC is hiring for a Market Developer to help the company enter the hemp market within the state of Indiana. The role at KDC is highly entrepreneurial in nature, with the intent to grow a new business for the company. This person should have a background in business and sales and should be comfortable working in a fast paced working environment. This person will develop and achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, identify and build key customer relationships, and engage with key industry partners all while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.


  • Identify and build key customer relationships.

  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

  • Present to and consult with management team on business trends with a view to developing new services,

products, and distribution channels.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, expand KDC's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

  • Ability to proactively manage risk and lead through influence

  • Ability to build effective relationships with all levels of those involved with hemp, including farmers, retailers, and investors.

  • Preferably has experience with cannabis related plants

  • Knowledge of entrepreneurial ventures and experience with a startup company

  • Experience working with CRM tools such as sales force

  • Broad exposure to different industries, process areas, and technologies

This person will be accountable for retention and penetration of large format customers by geography and handling on-premise customers. Position Responsibilities * Sell Keurig Dr Pepper brands to maximize growth, share growth, distribution, and to obtain specific volume objectives by providing a seamless experience to customers in the absence of an Account Manager. * Contact key personnel in assigned accounts pre-selling products, promotions, displays, point-of sale material, beverage section revamps, and service requirements. * Develop and implement beverage shelf re-allocations designed to maximize the sales of Keurig Dr Pepper brands. * Participate in the installation of revamped beverage sections, displays and placement of point of sale material according to company merchandising standards. * Stock and merchandise Keurig Dr Pepper brands in the allocated beverage section, including racks and secondary displays. * Assist in the sale, placement, and changing of vendors in chain store accounts; check regularly for proper mechanical operation, cleanliness, selection and product availability. * Maintain accurate sales records for all assigned accounts, including special reports on promotional activity, competitive sales and space allocations. * Maintain adequate amounts of back stock in each account to ensure product availability for in-store stocking and merchandising.
