The Team:
The Market Data Business Analyst team works closely with our Development and Revenue organizations to understand our client requirements, prioritize the resulting projects, and ensure that the right 3rd party data products are integrated into our platform.
The Role:
Market data is a critical component of Enfusion's platform. The core investment engine of Enfusion's software product offers a pre-populated security master, inclusive of corporate actions and pricing data. The system's design allows for a single version of the truth (i.e., the data) to flow across the components of the platform without changing - avoiding the need for additional normalization. This design requires that high-quality data feed the platform at its inception, and it is one of the Market Data team's key responsibilities to ensure this happens. In addition, the Enfusion platform allows for the integration of data from a wide variety of 3rd party vendors, and our clients are demanding a broader range and depth of data products to meet their investment requirements.
What You'll Do:
Capture and document client workflows related to the use of market data across the Enfusion platform
Work with product owners, sales, and clients to analyze requests for new data services, elicit requirements, and create business requirement documentation to be used as the basis for development projects
Present projects to development for acceptance and prioritization
Keep abreast and assess the impact of technological developments in the market, and key trends affecting the client segments we serve (e.g., ESG, direct indexing, risk factor analysis), and help define ways in which Enfusion's powerful SaaS F2B software and services offering can be enhanced over time to meet client demand
Track market data vendor notifications, communicate with technology teams and product owners to determine the impact of changes, document requirements, and submit implementation projects for development
Update and maintain inventory of market data vendors, agreements, terms of use, services used, data costs, and reporting requirements
Maintain inventory of market data used across the Enfusion platform, identify and document coverage, gaps, and quality issues
Work with Onboarding and Implementation teams to assist with client questions, understand problems, and recommend solutions related to market data during the integration process
Serve as subject matter expert and act as main point of contact for market data-related issues reported by client-facing support teams
Catalog and organize market data-related issues, recurring tasks, processes, and reports with an eye toward improving overall market data quality
What You'll Need:
5+ years of experience working with market data in the financial markets and technology industry
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
Broad and deep knowledge across both listed and OTC asset classes
Comprehensive understanding of global securities and derivatives markets, how they operate, and the applicable symbology and data products they offer
Familiarity with a broad base of corporate actions
Experience working with security master and pricing reference/static data, as well as real-time price feeds
Experience querying data in SQL, basic understanding of databases and programming languages, and ability to sight-read code
Familiarity with data delivery systems and protocols
Ability to diagnose root causes of issues and suggest both tactical and strategic solutions
Willingness to work on projects and take on responsibilities that fall outside of a traditional business analyst role
Working knowledge of data services offered by one of the major industry vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, or Refinitiv) is a plus
Experience working with a portfolio management system (PMS), order management system (OMS), or accounting system is a plus
Experience writing requirements documentation and development specifications is a plus
Experience working with Jira is a plus
Experience at a Fund Admin is preferred
Experience at a Hedge Fund or Alternative Asset Manager is highly preferred
The salary for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 + bonus + benefits.
