General areas of responsibility include managing accounting systems and conducting financial audits; preparing, collecting and analyzing financial information for decision support; managing accounts payables and receivables; evaluating and managing credit; allocating investments and determining funding sources; managing the organization's taxation affairs; evaluating risk and managing insurance; and preparing budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns. Positions in credit are responsible for formulation and implementation of policies and procedures for investigating new customers and extending credit lines.


  • Evaluate, review the credit and set credit limits that minimize the organization's credit risk but are consistent with company practices.

  • Perform a wide variety of credit and collection functions.

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of credit and collections staff to ensure that the credit and collections activities are conducted effectively and ethically and comply with the organization's policies and standards as well as relevant regulations and laws.

  • Manage the organization's most complex, large, or difficult credit accounts to maintain positive customer relations and minimize debts outstanding.

  • Supervise team members; assign tasks; respond to complex, escalated inquiries and handle difficult accounts so that that the team's resources are used effectively.

  • Reviews and approves joint check agreements and job accounts (commercial and residential).

  • Ensure that credit and collection activities are consistent with the organization's overall customer relations strategy in coordination with functional or operational area managers (for example in sales or customer service).

  • Implement the organization's credit policies so that an acceptable level of risk is maintained, repayments are made on time, losses are kept to a minimum, and arrears are economically collected.

  • Contact customers regarding delinquent payments and prepare reports reflecting status of credit and collection activity.

  • Consistently review and assess the status of individual credit accounts so that problem debts can be quickly identified and addressed.

  • Review, reject or authorize credit applications in accordance with company standards and establish appropriate repayment terms to minimize the organization's credit risk.

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to collect credit information, maintain accurate records, and collect overdue accounts to minimize outstanding debts.

  • Travel regularly within a defined area to include overnight travel as needed.

  • Meets regularly with branch leadership to determine the best strategy to maximize profits, minimize risk, manage expectations and align business goals with credit limits.

  • Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.

  • Spends a significant amount of time each month visiting customers, riding with sales teams and strengthening relationships

both internal and external to the Company.


  • Has credit limit authority up to $125,000 on main accounts and up to $350,000 on job accounts.

  • Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through the effective and efficient performance of job responsibilities.



Three (3) years of experience preferred to perform at expectation. Applies wide-ranging knowledge and experience of own job area within business unit or function. May have specialized knowledge and practical experience of specific technical areas applied within the context of a similar industry or type of organization.


  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).

  • Knowledge of eCredit & Cash App financial and accounting software.

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.

  • Ability to effectively utilize FEI's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).

  • Ability to effectively utilize FEI's customer relationship management system.

  • Ability to adjust work schedule in accordance with job objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Valid drivers' license preferred.

VIEW JOBS 3/24/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-22T00:00 SUMMARY The Prepaid Business Process & Intelligence department within U.S. Bank's Retail Payment Solutions is looking for a Business Process Improvement Manager to lead process design and improvement. The Business Process Improvement Manager is responsible for analyzing, designing, documenting, and implementing new and existing business processes to meet business growth, quality and scalability goals. RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for measuring process outcomes, both before and after changes, to monitor effectiveness and adherence. In addition, the position will be the business owner for process automation where changing from manual processes to automated processes (intelligent process automation, robotic process automation, etc.) will benefit the Prepaid organization. The role will work with all departments within the Prepaid business, including marketing, sales, product design, relationship management, and operations. The candidate will have a demonstrated experience in the financial industry, ideally direct knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to prepaid cards. Communication, influence, change management, and coaching skills are essential as this lead position will be establishing a new practice that will impact a variety of stakeholders. Finally, technical skills in process mapping, procedure creation, and controls are required as this role is responsible for developing initial process specifications, reviewing and optimizing processes and procedures in conjunction with subject matter experts, and developing and assisting with the deployment of business and project processes and procedures. In addition, this position has the potential to manage a team of process analysts as business needs grow and evolve. Additional responsibilities for this position include: * Provide process improvement support or technical assistance to departments, teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency across all business processes. * Work to understand the department's business and how it is aligned to various business functions. * Look for ways to better align business processes, procedures and information flow to meet end-users' needs with an emphasis on process integration, process improvement, non-value activity avoidance and sustainable cost savings. * Work with stakeholders to develop process specification documents in collaboration with document owners, subject matter experts and sponsors as required. In addition, leading pre-workshop meeting to review and validate the content of process specification documents. * Provide appropriate updates and maintenance of the process inventory and documentation of process inventory integration points. * Works with the project leader to inject process improvement and implementation methodologies to successfully integrate future state processes into a sustainable action. * Liaison with the project managers to develop overall plans and report progress and status against the consolidated work plan. * Ensures proper documentation of risks, assumptions, issues and decisions related to process integration and escalates key issues regarding project challenges and performance gaps to appropriate levels for visibility and resolution. * Lead the planning and development of process improvement working sessions as needed to create business process efficiencies and identify sustainable value-driven opportunities. * Assist with developing metrics to measure compliance to process integration results and the downstream sustainable value of completed charters and projects. * Ensure Business Process Management (BPM) methodology standards are adhered to across business process deliverables. Deliverables include matured process specification documents, process maps, RACI matrices, related business requirements to support the process and metrics designed to measure sustained value and process improvements. * Ensure affected process are maintained within applicable governance structures, regulatory commitments and customer requirements. * Perform personnel management tasks, e.g., employee selection, performance management, etc. REQUIRED * 8 or more years of related work experience. * Demonstrated experience in the financial service industry and thorough knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures applicable to the U.S. Bank products. * Communication, influence, change management and coaching skills. * Strong technical skills in process mapping, procedure creation and controls. * Experience developing initial process specifications and reviewing and optimizing processes and procedures in conjunction with subject matter experts. * Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience. PREFERRED * At least 5 years of experience in business process modeling for a financial services or payment card company. * Demonstrated experience creating process maps, procedures, and other related documentation. * Knowledge of Business Process Management fundamentals. * Demonstrable experience with process documentation and process mapping software, e.g., ARIS, Bizagi, Visio, etc. * Proficient skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. * Facilitation skills for workshops, design sessions, and other discussions with stakeholders. * Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects or initiatives. * Demonstrated experience with business and risk partners to gather business process details including process maps, controls, metrics, control plans, and risk level. * Experience analyzing the effectiveness of current processes to develop strategies using root cause analysis, Kaizen and other techniques. * Experience measuring process effectiveness using metrics and statistical approaches. * Experience with documenting, implementing and designing or redesigning business processes to meet company goals and improve operational efficiency. * Experience facilitating review sessions for accuracy and completeness of process documentation and identify connection points and gaps between processes and be able to have an end-to-end process perspective including all associated risks. * Manage and lead process design team to achieve process or project objectives. * Ability Train, coach and guide direct reports and other team members on process design. * Six Sigma, Lean Office or business process management certifications.
