Business Planner Analyst

As directed, the Market Business Planner works with the Division Director of Business Development to develop strategies and tactics intended to drive the achievement of the Division's overall Business Plan.
The Market Business Planner is responsible for supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of HCA and the Division. The Business Planner complies with Division and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently managing activities and resources, and ensures appropriate integration with the Division's overall plan for the delivery of care and service. Extensive travel within the East FloridaDivision will be required.
Works collaboratively with facility executive leadership to develop, document, and coordinate long-range strategies and plans for services, facilities and operations within the Market.
Builds consensus in support of these strategies and plans; Assesses programmatic strengths and weaknesses.
Facilitates service line planning within the Market and across the Division as directed
Supports the assessment and evaluation of business opportunities which may include potential mergers and acquisitions, as directed
Works with Decision Support to obtain and analyze data regarding competitive environment, market share data, and other market data, as directed
Leads the development of the Market-based Strategic Plans each year and planning updates throughout the year
Conducts special studies to evaluate and develop new programs and services.
Coordinates strategies and tactics with marketing, physician sales and physician recruiting.
Wherever appropriate, supports hospital initiatives in meeting core measures, patient safety and service excellence goals.
Continuously evaluates work process and design; understands role in ensuring quality/performance improvement, productivity, and service delivery to meet stake holder needs.
Performs duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, and recognized professional, quality, environmental and infection control standards as applicable.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required.
MBA or MHA, preferred.
Two years of hospital and/or multi-facilitymanagement experience in the healthcare industry.
