As a Market and Technical Research intern, you will assist in the maintenance of the SOLIDWORKS Solution Partner Program. You will complete various projects related to the classification and management of the 450+ independent organizations providing complementary solutions to the SOLIDWORKS user.

This is a paid internship based at the Dassault Systmes North American Headquarters located on 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, Massachusetts from May August 2019.

What will your role be?

  • Review the offerings of the SOLIDWORKS Partners and their classification

  • Develop an understanding of how the solutions are categorized and confirm that they are properly applied to the partners

  • Propose improvements and additions to the category nomenclature

  • Research and investigate non compliant partners and help bring them into compliance if warranted

  • Evaluate opportunities and efficacy of the Service Partner program

  • Survey existing partners and present results to stakeholders internally

  • Assisting with the day to day operations of the partner program

  • Helping with various projects, as needed, including responding to partner inquiries, testing and evaluation of Partner Solutions

Your Challenges ahead

  • Develop an understanding of the partner classification system

  • Apply that understanding while evaluating existing partners and proposing improvements

  • Assess existing partners that are not on track with program

  • Engage with partners to bring them into compliance

Your key success factors

  • Actively enrolled in an engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree for the duration of the internship

  • Interest in developing business-side and corporate program operations knowledge within the design, manufacturing, and CAD software industry

  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0

  • Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS or other CAD software

  • Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure

  • Work onsite at Dassault Systmes Waltham campus for the duration of the internship

  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written

With research, collaboration and creativity, you will be responsible for identifying, writing, publishing and maintaining an arsenal of collateral that together will become a SOLIDWORKS Product Guide. This guide will encompass the official 'toolbox' of information, videos, resources they will need to teach, speak, market, and effectively sell our latest offerings including SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE PLM Collaboration Services. You will organize, publish and store approved content in designated online repositories. You track, report and share updates via the team's project dashboard. You will be encouraged to contribute your ideas, process improvement ideas, feedback and insights when participating in regular reviews and meetings.
