Opportunity

As a Market Analyst, expect responsibilities that span a wide range of projects in order to help drive business strategy across all disciplines, including marketing, sales, product, pricing, channel, and more.

This role will be key to driving the success of our current business, while also looking forward to the future success and growth of the business. The Market Analyst will work with the Sr Market Research Manager to lead the global marketing group in providing detailed analyses and insights that enable the business to quantify, prioritize and capture opportunities in the Industrial generator business and its adjacent markets.

An ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skillset, as well as solid business acumen and communication skills to dig into and understand complex business decisions and insights.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Create, support, and maintain global market size/share and opportunity models to aid regional marketing organizations with the implementation of marketing programs and strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to develop the appropriate infrastructure (people, process, data, technology) to support the reporting and analytics process.

  • Support leadership on projects related to channel marketing, product development, pricing, and market research.

  • Support sales and marketing initiatives including financial & strategic planning, reporting and management analysis.

  • Analyze competitive data for trends and make recommendations to improve product, sales process and/or pricing initiatives.

  • Explore a variety of industry market data sources and work cross-functionally with partners internally and externally to understand market trends and drivers, utilizing these to inform business strategy recommendations.

  • Conduct research and analysis of best practices related to sales processes.

  • Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganize said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine.

  • Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.

  • Collaborating with IT and other stakeholders for opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required - preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Must be analytical, a good communicator, results-oriented and have good organizational and people skills.

  • Must be an Excel super user and familiar with other software programs used in a Marketing Organization.

  • Must understand basic business intelligence concepts and data warehousing.

  • PowerPoint and data visualization tools are key to displaying and utilizing the data mined, gathered, and analyzed.

  • SAP, CRM and PowerBI experience required. Salesforce experience preferred.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $66,300 - $83,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
