POSITION SUMMARY

The Strategy team serves a unique role within View. Answering directly to senior executives, the team is responsible for customizing the company's tactics to reach scale in different real estate verticals, such as office, multifamily, healthcare and education. The Strategy team establishes the core messages for each vertical, guides sales on where to focus their efforts, identifies best practices that increase success, and measures View's impact using the metrics that matter to customers.

The Market Analyst Intern position is for someone with a passion for commercial real estate and a deep curiosity about the challenges and opportunities of technology adoption at scale. The intern will analyze local real estate market data; create tailored sales pitches; quantify the value-add and write case studies about completed projects; research potential customers; read and summarize information from research and industry reports; and other activities.

The position will primarily support the commercial office and multifamily verticals but responsibilities will also support our efforts to measure View's impact on occupant health and wellness. The successful candidate should have a unique combination of quantitative and writing skills, as well as strong interpersonal and time management skills. The intern will have visibility into discussions about the company's market strategy at a time of fast-paced growth.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current or recent graduate or undergraduate students with experience in real estate economics/finance, business or urban planning.

  • Proven experience working with data throughout its lifecycle including collection, transformation/integration, cleansing and analysis.

  • Excellent written communication skills such as experience writing case studies, executive briefings, interpretation of quantitative analysis, marketing materials, blogs, etc.

  • Proven experience in time and task management including ability to develop a work plan and schedule, respond to changes and barriers, and still deliver high quality, timely results. Able to manage multiple assignments at once.

  • Comfortable with working independently, demonstrated by developing, owning, and driving relevant, meaningful analysis with little guidance or input.

  • Creative thinker and proven problem solver, with the ability to understand complex processes and applications.

As part of these duties, the Market Operations Monitoring and Analysis (MOMA) function within the Markets Group executes transactions in the open market and conducts monitoring and analysis of financial market developments in support of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and financial stability objectives. MOMA is seeking a senior associate for the Capital Markets and Institutions (CMI) directorate. CMI leads MOMA's monitoring and analysis of developments across domestic capital markets and financial institutions to help inform the formulation, implementation, and transmission of monetary policy, and the assessment of risks to financial stability. Responsibilities: * Monitor and analyze domestic corporate credit and equity markets; * Produce high-quality quantitative and qualitative analyses connecting developments in credit and equity markets with developments in broader financial markets, monetary policy, and financial stability; * Author, edit, and deliver written reports, verbal briefings, and presentations on policy-relevant developments in credit and equity markets; * Interface with market participants to obtain market intelligence related to credit and equity markets; * Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues across the Group, FRBNY, and Federal Reserve System; * Participate in projects with other domestic or international organizations as appropriate; * Provide informal mentoring and coaching for more junior staff; * Support the Bank's diversity and inclusion agenda. Familiarity with advanced quantitative analytical packages preferred; * Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey complex subject matter in a concise, articulate, and insightful manner; * Very strong critical thinking skills, with the capacity to generate original ideas, assimilate new information, and develop sound conclusions in a timely manner; * Effective interpersonal and diplomatic skills including the ability to develop and maintain a broad range of internal and external contact networks and a proven ability to work collaboratively across business areas to achieve results; * Very strong self-management skills, as evidenced by an ability to take initiative and ownership of assignments, effectively prioritize assignments, and produce results under tight time constraints; * Commitment to highest ethical standards and excellence in public service.
