We are hiring for a Market Analyst for our Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) division. The Market Analyst will provide critical support for ART marketing through advanced analyses, and the design and implementation of reports from market research and databases to capture real-time market information. There will be a distinct focus on competitive and Irvine Scientific market share by region, new technologies, analysis to support business development with market input, and business planning. The Market Analyst supports ART product lines, and will collect, analyze, and connect large volumes of data from multiple sources, extract insights, and identify opportunities to drive sales and improve profitability. This role is a key player in the organization's evolution from selling products to positioning solutions effectively within a given market segment; as such, it requires the ability to collaborate across a wide variety of functions and roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate disparate sources of data, analyze market information to prepare appropriate analyses that will be used to guide decision making within the business plan(s)

  • Create quantitative or qualitative analysis to support business decisions for marketing strategy

  • and commercial execution

  • Present real-time market information in a visual format that is easy to understand (dashboards) or quick-to-understand charts and graphs

  • Support the standard reporting requirements across the organization to provide real-time market analysis to key stakeholders

  • Assist in reviewing Product P&Ls to advise on areas of profitable growth opportunities across multiple brand lines

  • Provide customer, competitive and channel/customer analyses as part of ongoing brand and product strategy management

  • Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences and buying patterns in different markets to optimize product distribution and identify opportunities for growth

  • Analyze information from business news, trade press, competitive financial and regulatory filings and other sources to track business activities in the ART market in order to provide insight on sales trends

  • Work closely with Product Managers to analyze marketing channel performance and uncover opportunities for improvement

  • Measure the performance of various marketing campaigns

  • Work with the Business Development and Product Development Teams and analyze customer feedback data in order to support new partnerships, product launches, and the development of new product forecasting models

  • Conduct analyses and provide actionable insights to positively influence sales forecasting, demand planning and production efforts

  • Act as a data steward to maintain the integrity of our Market information, including assuring source data files are secure from unintended alterations

  • Maintain a centralized repository in which there is a "single source of Market" to be referenced

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and participate in other projects as needed

  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned or as needed

Experience/ Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science

  • 2+ years in a Market Analyst role with emphasis on database marketing / mining experience

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain/project a positive attitude, especially during difficult situations

  • Ability to work as part of a focused team over extended periods of time

  • Advanced skills in full MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite & Analytics
