Maritime Prepositioning Marine Air Ground Task Force (Magtf) Data Analyst

Role: Provide on-site Maritime Prepositioning MAGTF Data Analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) in direct support to the Maritime Prepositioning Branch, Maritime Expeditionary Warfare, at Headquarters Marine Corps, Deputy Commandant for Combat Development & Integration (DC, CD&I), Quantico, VA.

Primary Duties:

• Serve as the MAGTF data SME for the naval integration of USMC and Naval equipment, operational capabilities, and embarkation capacities, relative to the deployment and employment aboard maritime prepositioning ships (MPS), general support, auxiliary and expeditionary vessels.

• Review, analyze, and provide input to MAGTF operational concepts, systems, and programs to ensure continuity of the MAGTF evolutions, legacy, and future maritime assets.

• Develop and update operational concepts, concepts of operations, employment, and operational handbooks, describing integration of the MAGTF, Maritime Prepositioning, Naval and Joint forces.

• Maintain awareness/understanding of Joint operations, Marine Corps objectives and requirements, concepts, operational assessments, and contingent plans that support/impact expeditionary capabilities.

• Support the analysis of new and emerging equipment requirements and potential alternatives, through the development and expertise in managing and utilizing Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) load plans, organization for embarkation and assignment to shipping, and detailed force laydown presentations.

• Advocate Marine Corps equities of the MAGTF in Maritime Expeditionary Operations, by representing MPS, Maritime Prepositioning Force equities at Service-level wargames, operational advisory groups, operational planning teams, and other venues.

• Support Analysis of Alternatives, Capabilities Based Assessments, and other studies relating to MPF, MPS, general support and auxiliary vessels, and their associated connectors.

Supplemental Duties:

• Prepare and submit monthly accomplishment reports to the project manager.

• Prepare and submit travel request forms and trip reports as necessary.

• Complete required annual government training.

• Assist in publishing the Maritime Expeditionary Warfare Annual Report.

Education/Experience/Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree Preferred.

• High School Diploma, AA Degree, or years of experience in lieu of degree.

• Documented Staff and/or operational experience in MPS, MPF planning and/or operations.

• Knowledge of Marine Corps policies and procedures.

• Must possess or be eligible for a SECRET clearance.

Additional Skills:

• Capable of working efficiently within a military staff environment that requires coordination at the Navy & Marine Corps service and joint staff levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Location: The primary workplace will be the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, General Raymond G. Davis Center (Bldg. 3300), 3300 Russell Rd, Quantico, VA 22134.

Work Environment: Office

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri / 8 hours per day, normal working hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (0800 - 1600).

License and Other Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license and availability of private transportation may be required for local travel.

Salary and Benefits: As stated during the interview/hiring process.

Travel: Travel to other government facilities, other contractor facilities, and/or ships will be required. Travel may be required on weekends and could include CONUS and OCONUS locations. The exact dates and duration of travel will vary dependent upon location and requirements of individual events to include planning, attendance at meetings, conferences and/or wargames.
