Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Marine Technical Support Manager to join our Marine Tech Service Group in Kennesaw, GA. You will be responsible for managing all business processes for this group.

What you'll be doing:

  • Approve development of technical standards and procedures for Marine Service Department

  • Providing technical guidance and leadership to Marine Service teams

  • Develop product specialist to become subject matter expert on existing and future products

  • Provide technical solutions to internal and external request

  • Understands, implements, and can further develop KPI's and other performance measurement systems

  • Collaborate with other Marine Group personnel to assist in the decision-making process for determining and promote consistent dealer or customer assistance. (i.e., OEM, Warranty team, Service Operations)

  • Support Field Service Team with technical and coordination needs to meet Dealer Development goals

  • Lead Monitor Projects

  • Improve communication of Market Information resulting in more influence of product enhancements

  • Collaborate with Service Operations Manager to understand root causes for warranty/quality issues and effectively assessing impact/magnitude.

  • Identify training gaps and develop material for training.

What you need to be successful:

  • HS Diploma or GED required. AS/BA/BS degree in Marine Technology or equivalent course of study preferred. Marine Industry service certifications is highly desirable.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Marine dealer consultant, field service representative or related service experience is required Retail marine industry experience preferred.

  • Must be able to demonstrate superior skills in providing dealer and customer support.

  • Experience in developing and presenting Training material in a classroom environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)

  • Excellent record in providing superior customer service on technical issues at a dealership or with an OEM

Data analytics ability

  • Strong communication skills to build interpersonal relationships and consensus

  • Complex problem solving and decision making with a proven record of results orientation
