Marine Service Technician Intern

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Fall Internship to join as a Marine Service Technician Intern in our Kennesaw, GA. This internship is a great hands-on experience and provides a great deal of professional and technical development! This intern will be responsible for completing technical training classes and shadowing various Marine Service Divisions departments and business functions.

What you'll be doing:

• Attend a minimum of four marine technical Instructor-Led Training (ILT) classes

• Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks including Customer Relations, Dealer Technical Advisor support, Failure Analysis, Training, Warranty, and Field Service

• Gain exposure in various functional areas of the Marine Service division, providing exposure to corporate service operations between Yamaha and the dealership

• Working closely with team members to absorb value and take to a Yamaha dealership

What you need to be successful:

• Pursuing a career as a marine technician, service advisor, or parts personnel at a Yamaha dealership

• Must be able to lift and transport 50 pounds

• Must be able to climb one flight of stairs comfortably and regularly

• Must be enrolled in or have recently attended a Yamaha Tech School Partner university/college program as a marine service technology or Yamaha student

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Strong knowledge of the Yamaha Marine product line offerings

• Strong proficiency as a high-potential entry-level technician

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision

• Energetic and eager to gain exposure to the OEM side of dealer

• Yamaha business functions

Availability:

• This internship program typically lasts 9 weeks

• Position hours are typically 8:30am- 5:00pm Monday-Friday (37.5 hours)

• The final week will be back in the intern's general market with the respective District Service Manager (DSM)

• Must have reliable transportation

• This is a paid internship

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

• Relocation is not provided for this opportunity

• This internship program is from September 9th
