Marble Restoration Technician - Housekeeping

The Breakers is seeking an experienced Marble Restoration Technician in the housekeeping department. This position is responsible for independently restoring and cleaning hard floors, marble, travertine, and other specialty flooring. They are expected to have in-depth knowledge of job-specific cleaning chemicals and materials and be skilled in grinding and cutting all types of stone. Ability to work overnight shift/weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in marble restoration and hard floor cleaning

• Knowledge of different types of stone and appropriate restoration techniques

• Familiarity with job-specific chemicals and cleaning materials

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend , push, pull and lift over 100lbs

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

Responsibilities:

• Restore and clean hard floors, marble, travertine, and other specialty flooring

• Utilize appropriate chemicals and cleaning materials for each surface

• Operate equipment for grinding and cutting stone

• Inspect and assess the condition of flooring to determine restoration needs

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times
