Position Summary:
The Training Documentation Specialist develops, designs and ensures delivery of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for job specific roles and assists in developing, designing and ensuring delivery of the manufacturing plant's on-the-job training program. The Training Documentation Specialist facilitates the training and qualification process for manufacturing team members according to the company's guidelines to meet and/or exceed performance criteria to maximize business results.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Design manufacturing plant specific SOP manuals
Design training content inclusive of pictures, charts, graphics, and videos using Microsoft Suite Applications, Rise 360, SwipeGuide, etc.
Coordinate delivery of job specific training SOPs
Coordinate and/or participate in New Hire Onboarding and New Department Onboarding for new team members as needed by plant location
Track and report training status and completion on monthly basis
Maintain training documentation records
Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and department leaders to ensure understanding of training and effective transfer of knowledge and skills
Review current qualifications, skill sets and certification processes with SME's and make recommended changes
Coordinate the Train-the-Trainer programs utilizing SME's or Safety Manager as directed by plant location
Prepare training, documentation and materials necessary to demonstrate effectiveness
Maintain and update plant specific documentation library consisting of reference materials, videos, publications, photos, etc.
Take appropriate action when violations to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) occur or when Process Controls suggestions are made
Suggest and implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
Collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement
Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 2 plus years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or other related area or HS Diploma/GED and 5 plus years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or related area
Experience training others
Experience setting goals
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills with all levels of an organization
Strong presentation skills
Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
Strong teamwork skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master's degree
Experience working in food/beverage manufacturing
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory Principles
Knowledge of Manufacturing Food Safety & Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines
Knowledge of regulatory laws that affect employment and/or training including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Ability to climb stairs/steps
Ability to stand a minimum of eight hours
