Summary The Tech Engineer II performs a wide variety of complex mechanical, electromechanical or

electronic technical duties in the fabrication, assembly, testing, debugging and repair of assemblies,

modules and systems. Works from written/verbal instructions, technical manuals, engineering

specifications, computer generated schematics and parts lists. Uses a variety of test equipment and

troubleshoots product defects. Maintains and calibrates test equipment. Interfaces with engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing, troubleshooting and repair of Customer owned and/or new

electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies or electromechanical products.

Perform complete legacy tool refurbishments.

Disassembles, trouble shoots, refurbishes, and reassembles complex electromechanical units and

subassemblies to specification.

Read, understand, interpert electronic schematics and troubleshoot to the component level.Fine soldering abilities.

Performs basic leak checking tasks.

Writes up and investigates Insight cases.

Complete standard workcenter documentation forms, requisitions, Insight cases,Time sheets, assembly

logs, checklists, etc.

Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct adjustments to products,

instruments or equipment.

Utilizes various test equipment. Collects and summarizes test results.

Maintains work center test stands and equipment.Competencies In addition to demonstrating Axcelis Attributes and Behaviors the employee will be

VIEW JOBS 10/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-10T00:00 The Customer Operations Manager I is responsible for providing factory based tactical sales and marketing support to maximize Axcelis' market share and profitability. This role works closely with the Field Sales organization in an assigned geographic area, assisting in the definition and execution of sales strategy and tactics which achieve the long term objectives of the customer and Axcelis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Contribute to the Account Manager's plans: a. Axcelis Territory Dashboard b. Axcelis Closing Plans c. Axcelis Sales Call Plan & Trip Report. Monitor and measure delivery of the completed plan to the target. Ensure Closing plans and Call plans are updated in Sales Excellence Community site. Coordinate the factory inputs to the plans itemized above. Assist in effective Build Slot management by acting as a conduit of information between Sales and the Factory, and vice a versa. Make sure the information relayed to the Executive SIOP is current and complete. Review technical and commercial specifications. Coordinate technical specification responses with the Product Team working through the Marketing Product Manager. Validate quotation for tool configurations, margin objectives, and supporting of sales strategy. Provide Sales VP margin analysis information for Executive SIOP approval. Review and Coordinate machine backorders for tool sales. Expedite when necessary. Distribute weekly and monthly reports to both internal customers and worldwide sales as required and requested. Develop and execute, in coordination with Field Sales and Global Account Management (where applicable), account and/or region specific strategic/tactical effort at the factory in support of Closing plans. Provide on-going input to the AXCELIS Sales Forecast. Filter Field Sales forecast for improved input to AXCELIS forecast plan potentials. Prioritize and forecast production shipments, including factory input on account activity and global customer requirements which may affect build schedules. Coordinate customer visits. Administer contracts, including quotations of all AXCELIS products, T&C's, VPAs, price negotiation, evaluation contracts, included for the internal approval and margin analysis. Distribute System P.O.s to appropriate parties and answer Finance or Auditor questions pertaining to the sale based on the PO, Customer Specification, or business commitment. Support Global Customer Service (GCS) and Accounts Payable to obtain retention payments as requested. Administer customer and Field Sales RFI requests. Assist with closing plans for system penetration and aid in resolving technical escalations from a commercial and strategic point of view. Coordinate, as required, an overview of the assigned accounts, including Closing plans and Call plans for account and site penetration. Coordinate cross regional account activity reviews within Sales Excellence Team to ensure consistency in elements of all sales such as warranty, install, and payment terms, to ensure they are consistent with Axcelis policies and reporting. Maintain and ensure compliance with all applicable ISO Standards for the Sales/Sales Excellence groups. Formulate appropriate long-term pricing policies jointly with Global Account Management and Product Marketing. Provide weekly input to the Axcelis Production Schedule. Provide Product Teams with customer information as requested via the Product Manager. Conduct bi-weekly meetings with Regional Field Sales Management to close actions, designate hot issues from factory & field and review Territory and Forecast plans. Ensure the Sales Excellence Community site is up-to-date with the appropriate Territory Plans, Closing Plans & Call Plans. Work with field teams to ensure they are prepared for the monthly Territory Review meetings. Actively participate in monthly Territory/Account Review meetings and track action items on the Sales Excellence Community site. Participate in Marketing review meetings and feed appropriate updates to the field. Participate and help prepare materials for the Axcelis TEMs. Help prepare materials for and attend all sales meetings. Assist in preparing yearly strategic plan for Sales Excellence Team. Complete weekly "goals" planner and debrief on 1:1 with Sales Excellence Head. Attend weekly Sales Excellence team meeting and be prepared to give an example of living the Sales Excellence Mission and/or values. Familiar with the inner workings of customer operations, both in base country and international subsidiaries. Working knowledge of contract administration, equipment configuration and sales forecasting required; General Axcelis product knowledge required. Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and CRM Package (ie, SalesForce-SalesCloud).
