Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.

Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Adheres to all safety requirements.

Write and maintain accurate production documentation instructions. Maintains a clean work area. May perform preventative maintenance and assists in trouble shooting and preparing standard production equipment for maintenance.

Assures that production schedules are maintained and followed. May facilitate team meetings. May assist in setting up work schedules.


Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
Solid knowledge of material logistics.

Solid knowledge of business system/concepts within the work area such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement. Able to lead discussion, solve problems and take ownership of decisions. Good presentation and training skills.

Ability to write production documentation instructions. Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. Typical Education and Experience: Associate Degree or equivalent experience. 6 - 8 years of related experience.
