SHIFT

Our Technicians work a Compressed Work Week (CWW). This means that each pay period you work three 12-hour shifts one week, and four 12-hour shifts the following week*. Per California law, you will be eligible for Overtime Pay (1.5X Hourly Rate) for all time worked over 8 hours in one shift (24.5 hours of OT per two week pay period). Shifts available:

A Shift (front half days)

  • 6am

  • 6:15pm Sunday

  • Tuesday, and every other Saturday

B Shift (front half nights)

  • 6pm

  • 6:15am Sunday

  • Tuesday, and every other Saturday (+15% shift differential)

C Shift (back half days)

  • 6am

  • 6:15pm Thursday

  • Saturday, and every other Wednesday

D Shift (back half nights)

  • 6pm

  • 6:15am Wednesday

  • Friday and every other Saturday (+15% shift differential)

  • These CWW schedules only apply to our California locations, and include breaks and meal periods

The Manufacturing Technician performs functions associated with probe card manufacturing operations including manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies to specification based on production schedules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to reading drawings and BOMs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate must have strong problem solving skills and understanding of the fundamentals of electronics

  • Build mechanical assemblies or operate SMT machines according to standard operating procedures

  • Perform set-up and cleanup according to documented procedures

  • Maintain documentation for set-up and daily operations

  • Document and maintain quality records for operation and inspection results

  • Perform material activities required to maintain accurate control of all material staged in the area

  • Perform minor maintenance as required in an efficient manner

  • Maintain a clean and orderly working environment

  • Follow general safety procedures

  • Communicate operation status to supervisor as required

  • Work with other team members to implement safety, quality and performance improvements

  • Must be able to follow assembly drawings

  • Able to work with limited supervision

  • Experience using microscopes is desirable

  • Experience with a manufacturing execution system (MES) such as Promis desirable

  • Strong problem solving skills as related to manufacturing issues

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • H.S. Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • SMT machine operation or mechanical assembly experience preferred

  • Must have good computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Statistical Analysis software, MES)

  • Strong math skills, including metric and standard measuring systems

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Familiarity with clean room and 6S procedures

The Manufacturing Technician I ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The Manufacturing Technician I will assemble products by using a variety of specialized equipment, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly produce/assemble/test medical devices. * Work with Manufacturing Lead and/or Specialist to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met. * Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell. * Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor. * Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work. * Identify continuous improvement opportunities within designated work area. * Sustain lean manufacturing and 5S activities. * Participate as an active member of the production team and assist in product processing. * Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality System. * Follow detailed production/assembly/testing instructions, processes and procedures. * Complete required documentation relating to regulatory requirements. * Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. * Utilize DBS concepts and tools in the performance of daily activities. Qualifications: Minimum Education & Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent education. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions. * Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications. * Ability to work with others collaboratively. * Ability to work 3rd shift hours:10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Preferred: * Medical device manufacturing experience. * Ability to analyze and solve problems. Physical Requirements: * Must not have any chemical allergies: Work areas may contain adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes. * Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm's length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. * Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision. * Must be willing and able to conform to cleanroom practices with regard to apparel and personal hygiene.
