About the role
With general supervisory direction, assist in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).
You're responsibilities will include:
Maintenance activities for automated PC and PLC controlled manufacturing equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time and improve process yields.
Identify, design, and implement process equipment changes to improve reliability of the process.
Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures.
Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product.
Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
Assist in writing validation plans, executing plans and completing validation reports.
Assist in writing Process Change Assessemnt Forms and executing the actions to complete the process change.
Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) projects, implementing new equipment or processes, or improving existing ones for cost savings.
Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization, Ppk, and scrap reduction goals.
Work with Process Development to bring new products into production.
Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery.
Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
What we're looking for:
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 0-3 years of related experience.
Self-Motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance
Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise
Previous Medical Device, Aerospace, and/or Automotive Experience.
Hands on experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance and support.
Control system experience such as PLC
Ability to read mechanical prints and schematics
Experience with measurement equipment
