Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Technician I at Middletown, Pennsylvania 17057.

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will:

• Responsible for optical connector assembly, termination of various configurations of fiber optic cable assemblies, and testing of these cable assemblies.

• These positions will also assist in process development and resolution of problems encountered in the process of bringing new optical products from concept to market.

• Other duties will include operation of fiber router & completion of over-molding process. Termination of various standard fiber optic termini as well as new termini designs.

• Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds.

• Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop, identifying issues,

• clearing faults and acknowledging machines states.

• Assist in the estimation process step durations.

• Assist in setting up new manufacturing processes.

• Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies.

• Communication within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction.

• Soldering & PCBA Assembly skills for the following: Wire Harnesses, Connectors, Passive

• Components (Resistors, Capacitors, etc.), IC (Integrated Circuits).

• Use of Fiber Optic & Electronic Test Equipment: Optical Power Meters, IL/RL Test, Oscilloscope,

• DMM (Digital Multi Meter), Variable Power Supplies, Variable Attenuators, Optical & RF Switch.

This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (flexibility).

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Completed High School or equivalent.

• Preference 2 years of experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment but not mandatory.

• Must have good time management skills to work on numerous projects simultaneously.

• Attention to Detail (following BOM's, Routers, and, understanding drawings/prints).

• Proficient Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work.

Payrate Range in Between - $20- $21/hour

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
