Manufacturing Technician

Dixon is looking for a flexible, hard-working individual to join our team in Pewaukee, WI to perform Valve and Pump Assembly work. This include pulling material and following written work instructions to build and test actuated valve and pump assemblies. Assignments may also include supporting our welding and polishing department by helping to finish some customized components and assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test valves and pumps per work instructions in a timely manner

• Receive customer orders, pull appropriate material and work instructions

• Log completed assemblies into computer system for historical purposes

• Maintain neat and orderly workspace

• Count and verify factory inventory levels using the cycle count system

• Polish and clean welded, customized component and assemblies as needed

• Light custom machining or milling

• Work with Dixon Sanitary Team to delight our customers everyday

Competencies:

• Mechanical aptitude and capability

• Work in a fast-paced environment to ship product within 1-2 days

• Flexibility

• Problem solving skills

• Ability to apply basic reading and shop math skills

• Basic computer skills - Word, Excel, email

• Lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs. over the course of a shift

• Ability to do some light custom machining or milling is preferred

• Willingness to get along with team members
