The Job

Our team in the Minneapolis area is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to assist with process development, production ramp-up and manufacturing sustainment for the percutaneous mitral valve replacement system. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will actively assist in the design, prototyping, development, and testing of processes and fixtures. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the environment and equipment (and its associated components and supplies) through preventative maintenance procedures.

A further glimpse into the job:

  • Lead the development of processes for nitinol components such as shape setting, chemical etching, mechanical deburring, grit blasting and electropolishing

  • Assist in the development of test methods and parameters for system verification

  • Complete documentation of project information to conform to quality system and regulatory requirements

  • Interface with Manufacturing, Quality and Development teams to ensure timely execution of tasks to meet project and production goals

The Person

We are looking for someone with astute problem-solving abilities that is resourceful, adaptable and can operate with a sense of urgency. You must have strong communication skills and be able to receive direction and work independently.

Someone with a mechanical inclination would be ideal! For you to be successful in this role you should have prior experience and understanding of Nitinol processes as well as a general knowledge of catheter design and construction. A Bachelor's or Technical degree is preferred, but those with equivalent work experience are encouraged to apply.

Manages multiple clients and competing demands to attract qualified candidates and fill open positions while positioning the organization as an "Employer of Choice". * Develop and execute on innovative methods to source and evaluate external passive, diverse candidates for potential employment at Boston Scientific. * Responsible for sourcing active candidates from on-line databases as well as passive candidates through networking, cold calling, internet searches, and research. Partner with other Talent Acquisition team members to align qualified candidates with appropriate positions and work with them through BSC's hiring process. * Foster and cultivate relationships with key potential candidates and large-scale talent pools to deliver upon immediate short-term hiring needs. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for conducting searches within BSC's applicant tracking system to identify pipelines of talent. Your responsibilities include: * Coach Hiring Managers and coordinate selection process to ensure optimal selection of candidates for available positions. * Develop and implement organizational recruiting strategies to attract the best qualified candidates. * Conduct interviews by evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge and abilities and other data relevant to the selection process. * Prepare, extend and negotiate competitive job offers in support of requisitions for own client groups. * Utilize recruiting processes to leverage resume tracking software. Recruiting experience supporting various functions required.
