KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Note that the position is for a contract assignment. There is the possibility that it could turn into a regular full-time position, but this is not guaranteed.

Candidate must be able to work Day Shift C. Thursday-Saturday (and every other Wednesday) 4:45am- 5:15pm.

  • This position will work in a clean room environment, working with chemicals, Metal deposition, Sputter, Plating, Facet Coat and wafer level inspections required.

  • Responsible for fabrication of lasers and other devices on InP wafers

  • They will be required to follow all ISO9000/14000 plus ESD requirements.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of experience processing semiconductor wafers; experience with wafers fab. (InP, GaAs).

  • Familiar with metal deposition process and/or Thin Film process and Inspections.

  • Capable of safely handling hazardous chemicals and waste.

  • Capable of working independently.

  • Solid communication and Team player skills.

  • Education: High School Diploma.

You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production going. Responsibilities: * Day to day coverage of production equipment in assigned area - complete scheduled PM's, respond to alarms, solve equipment breakdowns and fulfill production requests efficiently to minimize downtime. * Diagnose equipment failures - root cause and communicate required actions across relevant teams. * Perform major equipment repairs, rebuilds and installations. * Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance protocols * Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.). * Contribute to a highly productive, efficient and team-oriented work environment where we have fun getting it done Requirements: * A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment * Deep technical experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical systems, conveyance systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, and electrical systems for production equipment * Technical command of robotics and controls/PLC programming (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens preferred) * Experience maintaining and solving technical issues with Fanuc and/or Kuka robots preferred * Demonstrated ability to execute and improve preventative maintenance methods, documentation and/or scheduling to minimize equipment downtime * Proficiency in basic MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Tesla Motors Fremont CA
