This position involves the formulation of LOCI Intermediates and Reagents in a manufacturing environment to support a continuous supply chain. This position also provides support in manufacturing for new product development, process improvements, and investigations of material performance. Formulate LOCI Intermediates and Reagents

Works with Technical Operations to troubleshoot any production issues
Manufacture and perform in process testing materials to support new product development, product and process improvements, and stabilization of supply such as new vendor materials
Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them
Elevates issues that could impact supply chain
Assists in reviewing and upgrading written protocols
Perform verifications and maintenance of equipment
Document and maintain production records and logs
Comply with all regulatory agency requirements
Interact with other functional organizations as needed

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS/BA required in a relevant science (e.g. chemistry, biology) and/or experience in a production environment.
Familiar with operation of basic lab equipment such as spectrophotometers, pH meters, pipettors, balances, centrifuges, and ovens.
Basic understanding of antibody-antigen interaction
Good interpersonal skills to work successfully in a team environment and also have the ability to work independently
Strong laboratory skills, good organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of GMP regulations
Ability to lift and move heavy containers (40-50lbs).

From an engineering standpoint these medical devices rely on precision mechatronics, robotics, fluid delivery systems and thermal controls to allow for the accurate and precise reporting of patient assay results. The Medical Device Laboratory Technician will work with the R&D Fluidics Team and be directed by the Subsystem Team Lead (SSTL) and will be responsible for developing and/or following protocols to execute the fluidics test needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, building, purchasing, and servicing the necessary equipment needed to perform the required test. Test data collection, test results and organizational skills are key components for this position. We are looking for a tech with experience in lab testing (for medical devices would be ideal) to come in and work with the Siemens team and drive functional excellence and help develop world class fluidics for our medical device instruments. This position requires an associate degree or 10+ years of experience. The Lab Tech position is open to our Glasgow, DE site. The tech may have to work with Siemens personnel at any of our three sites (Glasgow, DE – Flanders, NJ – Tarrytown, NY). There is an expectation of travel as needed to the Siemens and external developer sites. The position reports to the R&D Fluidics Team Lead within the Design Engineering function of the Global Engineering Organization (GEO).
