We provide full project life science support for manufacturing and supply chain operations with niche expertise in MES, Serialization and Data Analytics.

With a dedicated team of over 200 people worldwide, we support 17/20 global pharmaceutical companies on over 70 sites. We are actively recruiting to expand our team across all geographies.

We are currently hiring for the position of Manufacturing Systems consultant to join our team in the Philadelphia area.

If you are passionate about solving systems challenges in an industry where you are helping the lives of others, ESP may be good fit for you. The ideal candidate will have experience developing/configuring Electronic Batch Records (EBR) in a GMP environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather user requirements in relation to controlling and recording manufacturing activities
  • Map existing manufacturing processes (warehouse, equipment management & EBR) to MES
  • Design and deploy MES systems to replace paper based or manual systems including batch records, weigh & dispense, warehouse management and material tracking in a pharmaceutical / biotechnology environment
  • Implement MES solutions and integrate with ERP and or/control equipment
  • Documentation and validation of EBRs

Requirements

  • Experience of developing /configuring Electronic Batch Records (EBR)
  • BS or MS in Engineering, Life Sciences, IT, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a highly automated biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Experience in implementing MES solutions such as Werum (PAS|X) or Emerson (Syncade), Rockwell (Pharmasuite / PMX), Siemens (XFP, Camstar), Honeywell (POMS), as well as having experience in integrating these systems with ERP and/or control equipment
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical / biotechnology processes and experience in a cGMP environment
  • Knowledge of FDA and GMP guidelines a must
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and/or manufacturing processes, having the ability to implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the process

Primary Technical Accountabilities: * Provides primary support through daily operations for the following (but not limited to) IT functional areas: Server installation/build automation, patching and configuration. * Provides all aspects of Windows Server administration for applications in a corporate critical environment. * Provide Windows Server support for the manufacturing sites. * Assist vendors with software installation on Windows Server. * Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange/O365, DNS, Group Policy, Server 2016/2019, PKI, and SFTP. General Accountabilities: * Responsible for operational execution / maintenance of applications within infrastructure areas. * Completes tasks within a defined timeframe. * Ensure effective problem analysis and resolution in a timely fashion. * Escalates issues when needed to appropriate levels of IT / business. * Effectively solicits and gathers requirements (user, business process, performance requirements, etc.) from business users using appropriate mechanisms and following CSL standards. * Translates business requirements and designs effective solutions. * Develops (configures / programs) and unit tests solutions based on CSL standards and SOPs. * Participates as necessary in the validation matrix role to independently test and validate solutions to ensure fulfillment of all business requirements, compliance of regulations and quality of solutions. * Effectively follows global IT procedures and policies are followed consistently as defined by the Quality Management System. * Conducts research and analysis on new solutions and considers their applicability to CSL Behring.
