This position is responsible for day-to-day leadership, supervision, and co-ordination of manufacturing staff to achieve required production, overseeing the mixing process in our manufacturing facility, ensuring product quality, adherence to safety standards, and operational efficiency. This role requires effective coordination of teams, management of equipment, and proactive troubleshooting of production issues.Key Responsibilities:

This role requires effective coordination of teams, management of equipment, and proactive troubleshooting of production issues.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Operations: Lead the mixing department, ensuring all operations comply with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate Work: Plan and organize the tasks of mixing operators to meet production schedules.
- Monitor Equipment: Oversee the performance of mixing equipment, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain optimal productivity.
- Train Employees: Instruct new employees on mixing processes, procedures, and safety practices.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with other departments to ensure the availability of raw materials and finished products.
- Perform Quality Checks: Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer and regulatory specifications.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of mixing operations, including inventory levels, production data, and maintenance activities.
- Identify Improvements: Spot opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement approved changes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the mixing process.
- Great attention to detail to ensure correct ingredient usage in proper quantities and mixed to required standards.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure all mixing processes are properly documented.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with other departments like production, quality control, and maintenance for smooth operations.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Adaptable to continuous change is important.
- Expert level with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Power BI.
- Ensure superior operating performance through identifying opportunities and implementing improvements in costs, and plant operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, specifications, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong leadership and management skills to train and supervise mixing staff.
- Familiarity with various mixing equipment and machinery such as blenders, mixers, and agitators.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Food Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to machinery, equipment and cold wet environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
- Other candidates with a valid Canadian work permit.
