Job Introduction

Leads the work team to ensure quality products are produced which meet the customer requirements. Ensures that standardized work is in place and followed.

Serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem solving, issue resolution and continuous improvement and training. Ensures that a safe and organized work environment is maintained at all times. Accessible to the production floor 95% of the time.

Must be able to perform positions/tasks required to support the team. Accountable for results in area of responsibility.

1.Achieving daily attainment requirements.
2.Maintaining and updating training matrices.
3.Recording downtime, scrap, and determining team efficiency.
4.Understanding and administration of HR policies.
5.Coach and counsel employees through performance concerns.
6.Independently administer corrective action through written level.
7.Approve all vacation and appointment time requests.
8.Document and deliver employee performance appraisals as issued.
9.Determine allocation of overtime, submit requests for OT approval.
10. Assign employees to work cells/machines daily.
11. Ensures cross training is occurring in their area of responsibility.
12. Maintain 5S checklist and ensure 5S performance
13. Perform LPA's.
14. Maintain kanban cards, make replacements, and enforce their use.
15. Perform pre-shift meetings.
16. Complete their portion of incident/accident reports.
17. Understand your responsibility for the environmental, health & safety programs, including ISO14001. Understand the importance of conformance with all safety and environmental procedures of the environmental and safety management systems, including emergency response. Understand the EMS consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities and/or their behaviors from specified work instructions.

Skills and Competencies
1.Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
2.3-5 years supervisory experience in high volume production, preferably assembly, is recommended.

PURPOSE/SCOPE: * Supervises moderately skilled to skilled employees and operations in one or more production functions. Maintains production schedules. Plans work, assigns work and trains employees. Has authority for hiring, termination, discipline and performance decisions. Ensures product quality standards are maintained. Moderate to high complexity in coordination and supervision of employees. * Responsible for implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure proper accuracy of inventory. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will lead problem solving efforts and implement cross functional corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy. * The scope of this role will be to oversee Inventory Control, Receiving, and Shipping Operations. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned operations, measured by safety, quality, delivery, inventory and operating variance * Create alignment on assigned process improvement across all shifts and departments related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals * Mentor Operations Supervisors * Works with plant management and functional managers on developing policy deployment action plans and helps funnel Lean activities in support of strategic goals. * Initiate, implement, support, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives across processes and or departments. * Manage the team's performance through evaluations, development, training, and promotions * Interview and select new talent * Hold team accountable through coaching and discipline. Motivate and reinforce good behavior through timely recognition. * Communicate and administer company and department policies, work practices and procedures in an effective manner. * Identify, troubleshoot and remove barriers to success by using a data driven problem solving approach to make fact based decisions. * Run a series of inventory reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis. * Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory reporting structure. * Perform inventory adjustments (quantity and price variance updates & analysis) * Perform daily Cycle Counts as required to maintain inventory accuracy. * Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes. * Lead the resolution of inventory discrepancies. * Conduct daily inventory analysis to anticipate and resolve potential inventory problems. * Audit operational processes and compliance. * Directly supervises and monitors the cycle count program and analyzes data gathered by the process, implementing new procedures with the goal of improving our inventory accuracy. * Develops and implements ongoing inventory training program for all Company team members. * Provide reports and complete research designed to improve inventory management. * Work in tandem with the Warehouse, Purchasing & Accounting teams and maintain flexible attitude supporting all stated objectives. * Work on special projects as directed.
