Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Total compliance with all applicable specifications, SOPs, FDA regulations (GMPs) and new drug applications.

  • Technical expertise and direction are provided to all quality and manufacturing operations in order to facilitate successful completion of routine tasks, as well as, product/process improvements and problem solving.

  • Must interface with various support departments such as QM, Engineering, Maintenance, Scheduling, Accounting, and Human Resources.

  • Responsible for adequacy of Specifications and SOPs to assure all products meet the requirements for quality, safety, and integrity.

  • Improve quality and reduce customer complaints through a proactive program that includes interaction with internal and external suppliers to improve quality of incoming materials and utilize collective data from customers to enhance quality of the product, as perceived by the customer.

  • Plan, develop and manage shift teams that monitor, predict or regulate manufacturing. These activities are accomplished through statistical sampling, product auditing and process control.

  • Assist in the validation of new equipment, process, systems, and changes that impact product quality.

  • Represent the company during FDA inspections. Provide information as necessary to FDA that established creditability and demonstrated compliance with GMPs.

  • Review, approve, and manage documentation for batch and system records. Assist in the release for distribution. Assist in meeting product release time goals.

  • Responsible for learning injection mold set up, start up and processing. Watch and learn Paulsen molding modules for self and PT's.

  • Will have knowledge of both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly.Create an environment that stresses and encourages teamwork.

  • Support and encourage all plant activities, i.e., VIPs, QLP, CIs, TPM, Business Process teams.

  • Manage Injection Molding and Husky/LSR departments.

  • Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.


  • 2-4 years Supervision experience required. Injection molding experience preferred.

  • High school graduate required.

  • Substantial interpersonal skills for interaction with plant management and subordinates.

  • Must have knowledge of both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly.

  • Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.

  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to bend/stoop.

  • Ability to climb ladders

  • Ability to reach above shoulder

Blood Processing Manufacturing Technicians perform manufacturing processes in a highly regulated environment—from receipt of unprocessed blood, through maintaining accurate records of finished goods in preparation to distribute to area hospitals. Successful Blood Processing Technicians will have a strong attention to detail, a customer-service focus and the ability to treat both internal and external customers with compassion at all times. Blood Processing Manufacturing Technician – Responsibilities * Manufacture, store and distribute blood products/samples according to applicable FDA, AABB, CLIA, NRC and Red Cross policies and procedures. Meet the quality and quantity production and distribution goals established by the department. Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements. * Operate, maintain and perform quality control checks on equipment. Ensure adequate inventory of required supplies. * Perform data entry and operate the computer programs associated with component production, labeling, storage, and shipping. * Maintain accurate, legible and complete manufacturing department records. * Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution and are managed appropriately. * Identify and quarantine products/samples that don't meet quality requirements. Perform disposition of unacceptable products/samples. * Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information provided from other departments to meet time requirements and quality standards. * Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process. * Maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory locations for products/samples. * Participate in training of staff. * Perform review of manufacturing records. * Remain flexible to work a variable schedule that includes weekends & holidays to meet the needs of our hospitals. * Drive for results and to serve others with a high level of respect for customer service. * Take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you're there. * Contribute to a friendly and fun environment. * Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times. Qualifications * High School diploma, plus two years' experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. * All technician jobs require good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation and good decision making skills. * College studies or technical training in science or medical technology or the equivalent is preferred. * Physical requirements may include standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. The ability to lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. You may work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
