The Manufacturing Strategy and Technology Manager is responsible for the development, alignment and execution of our manufacturing improvement strategy. The position will collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and utilization of resources. The role is accountable for KI's IIoT and data strategies, automation processes, and warehouse/distribution functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Plan, coordinate and implement continuous improvement activities to improve KPIs (contribution, on-time, cost of quality, safety incident rate, net efficiency)
Develop and execute manufacturing performance and technology strategies that align to overall business objectives
Collaborate with Information Technology to lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices
Collect production data and apply statistical methods to analyze and document production processes for change initiatives
Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
Oversee integration of technology into the manufacturing processes and develop production metric agenda
Prioritize project work within the group to best support plant objectives and change initiatives.
Maintain open channels of communication with technicians, Lean Process Manages, Engineers, and Managers
Qualifications:
Bachelors; Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related degree required
Requires 5 years experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement environment
5 plus years of project management and advanced problem solving
Success in managing cross-functional teams
Project Management Certification preferred
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Strong knowledge of technology including IIoT, AI, RPA/AI Agents
