The successful candidate will work in a machine shop operating CNC mills, lathes, grinders etc. The candidate is responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget. The candidate follows written work instructions, works under minimal supervision and must be a team player with good communication
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
US Citizenship required
High School or GED equivalency
2+ years of experience in specialty area e.g. machine shop, tool making, etc. (or equivalent education/ experience in the field or in a related area).
AS Degree or Trade school
Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
Computer literacy and mechanical inclination
The ability to work in a machine shop environment with proper PPE.
Must be a team player
Previous DRS experience will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities
Setup and operate CNC Mill, Lathe, and grinders
Familiar with close tolerances utilizing micrometers, dial indicators, Rings and Pins, and Height gauges.
Work with various materials: plastic, steel, aluminum, titanium
Lifting 25 lbs.
Flexibility in schedule to work OT
Office and documentation 10-15% of time.
Light manufacturing up to 80% of time.
Travel and heavy manufacturing 5% of time.
