Manufacturing Shift Lead (Night Shift)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Shift Lead (Night Shift) based in Tampa, FL. The Shift Lead will supervise the team and ensure all activities during the shift are performed safely according to the Production schedule and standards. Will work a 12-hour shift on Panama work schedule (2-2-3). Bilingual is a Must.

What you'll do:

• Perform changeovers and start-ups on all sizes and diameter pipes.

• Perform adjustments and troubleshoot specific equipment (e.g., puller, saw, beller, chamfer).

• Conduct safety stand-downs as needed.

• Verify silos outside to ensure proper blending per inspection reports and be familiar with the product and compound material.

• Utilize basic maintenance knowledge, including water chillers, air compressors, and central vacuum, coordinating with the Maintenance department when necessary.

• Ensure the forklift safety log is accurately maintained and report concerns to maintenance.

• Update Hour-by-Hour boards and train Material Handlers accordingly.

• Complete LSNI forms and provide training on proper completion.

• Fill out Gemba and Pareto boards using information from the Hour-by-Hour boards.

• Supervise and evaluate team members, providing coaching to identify areas for improvement.

• Ensure timely approval of timecards with correct coding for absence, vacation, or lateness by the Attendance policy.

• Complete corrective action forms, effectively communicate expectations to employees and promptly report issues to HR and the Production manager.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately

What you'll bring:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Supervisor with a strong Leadership and communication skills

• Computer literate

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Machine operation or mechanical skill-set experience, preferably in Extrusion.

• Knowledge of steel, PVC, or general manufacturing processes desired.

• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

• High School diploma or equivalent

Within 3 months, you'll bring:

• Complete any required training

• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
