The Quality Manager includes supervision of hourly and salaried quality department personnel and management of various aspect of the Quality Management System. The Quality Manager will report directly to the Director of Quality, and work with them to improve the Quality Management System at PacSci EMC. The position will require significant involvement in strategic improvement, developing new processes and procedures that will ensure improved quality and efficiencies in a variety of areas across the organization.
Manage the Quality Inspection and Manufacturing Quality Engineering departments. Ensure resources are dynamically assigned to areas of need. Drive performance metrics for each group in a positive direction.
Act as leader of strategic process improvements in the quality organization. Work directly with the Quality Director to develop a strategic process priority plan, and lead teams and projects to ensure that projects are implemented in a timely manner and are sustained by the organization.
Mange and continue to develop the internal manufacturing process audit system, promoting process discipline by identifying gaps, communicating them effectively to the process owners, and verify any deficiencies have been addressed in a timely manner.
Administrate and execute an internal Systems audit system, ensuring that command media and actual processes comply to each other, as well as to AS9100 requirements. Issue and track corrective actions resulting from audit finding to bring processes back into compliance.
Coordinate and lead all customer and government audits of the QMS. Assist and track corrective actions resulting from audit findings to bring processes back into compliance and provide acceptable customer response.
Lead the Corrective Action Board, ensuring that all corrective actions are answered in a timely manner. The board will determine if each corrective action has true root cause identified, corrective actions are effective, and follow up is conducted to verify effectivity. Evaluate all corrective actions for sibling issues and apply countermeasures to other areas as required.
Update quality procedures as needed to reflect changes in the QMS.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
BS Degree in related field
5+ years of experience as a quality professional
Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 and audit experience
Previous management experience required
Strong background in corrective actions/program solving
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement
Extensive understanding of statistical tools
Experience utilizing lean manufacturing tools
