Manufacturing Production Supervisor

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and has responsibility for meeting and/or exceeding all business growth and customer service requirements, along with providing direction and leadership to assigned work group. In this role, you will make decisions and apply concepts to complex issues, and resolve issues through immediate or short-term planning.
As the Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will:
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to team of hourly employees
Develop and maintain a positive work environment
Follow and enforce all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) rules and regulations, including conducting weekly safety meetings, ensuring employee safety and 5S housekeeping
Initiate an open communication pattern to promote exchange of information and ideas with peers, team, and leadership
Identify, communicate and resolve production, personnel, quality, and safety issues
Provide necessary equipment and materials to team
Ensure that equipment and team conform to ISO 9001, QMS, and Safety requirements
Integrate Lean techniques to identify inefficiencies, make recommendations, and support / follow through on process improvements
Develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans, implement a strategy to reduce cycle time, drive variable cost productivity (VCP), reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality, service, and safety
Meet established manufacturing metrics, such as service, inventory, etc.
Partner with engineering, quality and product management teams on new product development, as required
Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management (i.e., production and inventory control) and standard cost systems
Knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations established
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
