This position will be responsible for the execution of scheduling production departments. The planner must apply detailed knowledge and application in the following areas: manufacturing, scheduling, materials requirements, equipment capacity, shop floor controls, warehousing, transportation, and purchasing functions to efficiently execute and meet on-time delivery and inventory control objectives. This position will be responsible for all aspects of planning including data maintenance in ERP and reporting in ERP or other IT programs. Strong ERP knowledge, communication, problem-solving and team work are key for the position.

Job Duties:

  • Setup, create and implement new systems
  • Develop/Maintain production schedules.
  • Interact daily with Purchasing to ensure materials and packaging are available before firm ship dates are provided to Customer Service. Solutions will include all available options before customer is notified.
  • Monitor raw material availability to update shortage report and expedite with Purchasing.
  • Observe Finished Goods Inventory in conjunction with Warehouse/Shipping team to ensure that customer ship dates are met.
  • Communicate with purchasing, customer service, production, quality/regulatory, other manufacturing sites and sales to coordinate plans/schedules and collaborate on problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other manufacturing sites on order/scheduling changes and manage implementation with all sites affected.
  • Create batch tickets and collaborate with production personnel to optimize resource utilization and avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Use MRP, Advance Planner and Master Schedule to ensure materials availability before they are needed in production and considering time for QC testing.
  • Support Master schedule to create weekly and advanced schedule.
  • Create Purchase Orders for contract manufacturing.
  • Close batch tickets.

Requirements

  • Two-years of experience in Supply Chain or Production Planning required.
  • Two-years of experience in MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems required.
  • Superior organizational skills, multi-tasking and self-starter.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Strong in MS Office (specifically Excel - advanced formulas, graphs, pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, ifthen, slicers, etc.) required. Macros and VBA is a plus
  • Strong math, statistics and analytical skills required.
  • Adept at multi-departmental coordination.
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's in Business Administration preferred.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP certification desirable.
