Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for manufacturing process capability, capacity and improvement for transparency product.
These processes include acrylic stretching, grind and polishing, forming, coating, CNC Machining and final assembly. He or she will be responsible for the mentioned processes from assisting the new launch as well as sustaining.
He or she is also responsible for creating, maintaining, and upgrading of the current documentation such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Bill of Material (BOM), Bill of Operation (BOO), and Shop Traveler.
He or she will also responsible for performing problem solving, root cause analysis and implementing countermeasure.
Manufacturing Engineer will spend 20% on projects on new launch, 20% on scrap reduction project, 20% on process improvement projects, 20% production support, 10% training, and 10% admin and others.
He or she will be implementing lean and utilizing lean tools for improvement such as KAIZEN, VSM, Standardwork, 6S, 3P, TPI, 6 sigma, and TPM.
He or she will be responsible for change management process such as deviation, PCO and ECN within QAD system
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 4- 6 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, or a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with over 2 years of experience. Accustomed with all type of technical procedures, documentations listed under Job Function.
Communicate and share information, attention to detail, problem solving, solve conflicts, build strong work relationships, and ability to utilize PPG resources such as tooling, maintenance, and automation. Must have experience and training with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, MRP, DOE, FMEA, Fishbone, 5WHY's, Problem solving, & value stream mapping. Must be able to hold Lean KAIZAN event and demonstrate results.
Prepare and independently run successful DOE's. Military Clearance is a plus. Automation is highly desired.
