Job Description:
Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.

Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.

Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues. Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.

Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. Works under general direction.Education / Experience:AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Comments:Selected candidates must complete and pass training classes with a passing score of 85% or greater in order to gain access to the necessary software tools for the assignment (failure will result in termination from the assignment). Two of the classes are fundamental training in reading drawings and it is expected that candidates will have this knowledge

SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Planner position plays a critical role in the organization assuring that product can be manufactured to meet our customers growing needs. In this important role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedules consistent with inventory levels, delivery requirements and production capabilities. You will be instrumental in successfully coordinating the flow of work within or between manufacturing departments based on customer orders, established priorities, and availability of capable workers, parts, materials, and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain the production schedule in accordance with the business so that sales forecast, sales and operations plan, safety stock requirements and performance targets are met at multiple locations. * Analyze MRP, MPS, plant capacity, lead times, manpower needs, and inventory levels to accurately produce schedule. * Responsible for maintaining safety stock levels and complying with safety stock policies. Identify and address all inventory excess or shortage issues promptly. * Help develop MRP as a tool in order to make decisions effecting inventory levels and to keep production lines and workers running efficiently. * Work with other departments to maintain inventory levels and accuracy. * Supply and monitor manufacturing orders, Pick Lists, and material tags throughout the manufacturing process. * Analyze potential shortages to manufacturing orders and work with purchasing to determine action plan. * Communicate and work with Inventory Control Supervisor and shop management along with other department needs. * Participate in weekly forecast meeting with production and materials personnel and provide feedback. * Establish, modify, and suggest improvement to company manufacturing and scheduling procedures. * Assist other departments as necessary to support company goals. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in scheduling and planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment. * Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of general manufacturing processes. * Strong inventory control knowledge. * Experienced with Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel, and Publisher) and Crystal Reports. * Ability to take initiative and interact effectively with all levels of an organization. * Strong working knowledge of ERP / MRP processes; Great Plains experience a plus but not required. * High level of mathematic and analytical skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail. * Professional, positive, attitude based in successful collaborative team environment. * Highly developed interpersonal, research and problem solving skills. * Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines, multi-task and prioritize.
