Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operator for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. The starting pay rate for a Manufacturing Operator is $21.78/hour. Employees assigned to Swing and Grave shifts receive a shift premium of $1.25/hour.

All shifts are Monday

  • Friday. Daily, weekend overtime may be required. The core shift hours are: Day Shift: 7:00am

  • 3:00pm / Swing Shift: 3:00pm

  • 11:00pm / Grave Shift: 11:00pm

  • 7:00am.

The Manufacturing Operator position is an entry-level position intended to provide exposure and training within various areas of the Honeycomb Manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Operator will perform various tasks, in assigned areas, to support manufacturing of products. The successful candidate for this role must be reliable, flexible, and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. Following completion of the 90-day New Employee Orientation period, Manufacturing Operators may have the opportunity to advance to other positions within the organization.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Contributes to our safety-first culture that includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety, maintaining a clean work environment, and behaving in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner to ensure that we are meeting customer expectations.

  • Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with manufacturing to include, and not limited to: trimming, lay-up, adhesive cure, splicing, cleaning/rework of product, moving of product, prepping materials, expanding, inspecting, and packing.

  • Responsible for setup and operation of various equipment and tools.

  • Ensures that products meet customer specifications and expectations.

  • Works in a team environment and maintains constructive relationships with co-workers.

  • Operates, at all times, in compliance with the following systems and policies: Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System, Quality Policy, Environmental Management System, Code of Business Conduct, and all other Hexcel Policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

  • Basic working knowledge of computer data entry required.

  • Proficiency in the use of tape measure and ruler, preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
