Your role:

Produce or purify stable isotope products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others and perform operations in support of the group and department. To maintain equipment, facilities, and utility systems. Following all safety and quality requirements, complete assigned work. Performs work related travel as necessary, including weekend and holiday on-call and after-hours duty as needed.

Physical Attributes:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch or crawl for long periods of time.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Required to wear eye protection, safety shoes, and protective gloves. May be required to wear a hard hat, hearing protection, respirator and face shield, and other PPE (when required).

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade School or Associate degree in sciences desired.

  • Previous experience working in industry or hands on involvement in a chemical environment desired.

VIEW JOBS 10/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-15T00:00 Manufacturing Engineer MIAMISBURG, OH , UNITED STATES Description Excelitas Technologies Miamisburg is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer (Production Test Engineer) to provide engineering support to its Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) department. Work activities focus on test plan design, test procedure development and training, test validation as well as test equipment operation and process improvements. Test processes include thermal conditioning and thermal shock, vibration, shock and drop testing, as well as electrical tests and other special testing. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a cross functional environment and will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities: * Create and modify test plans, procedures, scenarios and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to customer requirements and company policies as necessary to document critical to quality test characteristics and establish appropriate process controls; * Identify, analyze and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors; * Work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures; * Track problems, resolutions and de-bugs throughout testing processes; * Create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques; * Create detailed documentation of test procedures for each phase or project as needed to ensure replicability, compliance with standards and growth of company knowledge base; * Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, users, developers and clients to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes; * Provide frequent feedback to developers, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions and discussion of further test requirements; * Identify and lead/assists in the procurement of ESS test equipment; * Provide and help track recommended PM schedules for ESS test equipment; * Assist in the design of fixtures and test apparatus for required testing and test equipment interfacing; * Review engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommend design changes that will enhance production, eliminating variation; * May train production employees in the operation of specialized equipment; * Ensure a safe work environment by building safety into work instructions, monitoring accident investigation and other safety-related activities in the work area. Your requirements: * Requires a B.S. degree (engineering discipline); * Minimum of 4 years of experience in an EES testing environment; * Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meet deadlines required; * Proficiency with database technology and machine control scripting languages required; * Well-rounded experience with multiple test equipment operating systems and test environments is desired; * Proactive communication and interpersonal skills while working in cross-functional teams; * Strong judgment and decision making skills; * Green or Black Belt certification a plus; * Active DOD/DOE Clearance a plus; * Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED; * Visa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas; * This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
