Manufacturing Metal Department- Day Shift

We are a stable and growing manufacturing company that has an established name in the musical instrument industry. We are located in Benicia, CA. We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Metal Supervisor that can bring a dynamic aspect to our organization. This individual will bring the following.
• 5-10 years of experience in Metal Fabrication, Stampings, Punch Presses, and CNC machining, Deburring, Polishing, and Finishing
• Strong teamwork and team motivation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to motivate and lead a work force to achieve desired goals
• Ability to quickly adapt to change as needed
• Strong planning, organization and problem solving skills
• Promote a positive, quality orientated team atmosphere
• Administer safety by ensuring all safe practices are in place and followed
• Communicate production goals, results, quality, and operation observation with employees daily
• Train and coach employees on quality control procedures, production specifications, and reporting parameter
• Enforce policies, practices, procedures and tracking for production operation
• Support training of production employees and provide mentoring support as required
• Maintain equipment per manufactures' recommendations for preventive maintenance
• Manage inspections and documentation of manufactured parts and last-run production samples.

• Ability to perform tooling, machine, and equipment maintenance

• Provide assistance with Engineering Samples and tooling development tests

• Develop and update Work Process Sheets/Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Processing experience with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and plastics.
• Punch press die and tooling maintenance experience.
• Basic hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Technical School and certification desired.
• Blueprint and geometric tolerance understanding
• Precision measurement capability
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (not required but is a plus)
  

Physical Requirements

• May lift loads up to 50 lbs: requires bending, standing, twisting, squatting and lifting throughout the shift.

• Long periods of standing, with the ability to work around metal forming equipment.

Benefits

Competitive Salary commensurate with ability. The pay range is initially set to be between $17.00 - $22.50 per hour.
