The Manufacturing Manager is a key member of the staff and will have responsibility for driving our manufacturing groups to world class performance. The person in this position will be responsible for the continuous improvement of multiple processes in a high mix, low volume, specialty product environment. Lean manufacturing implementation, resource planning and the development of our Manufacturing team are critical to the success of the business and are core responsibilities of the Manufacturing Manager.
The Manufacturing Manager must be an excellent influencer, communicator and coordinator at all levels within the organization. Be collaborative, proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and fast changing environment. Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationship across all levels of the organization.
Lead the Manufacturing team to achieve world class Safety, Quality, Service and Productivity.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma skills to address complex process opportunities with simple solutions.
Educate and develop strong analytical skills within the team to correct issues on the first pass.
Identify constraints to achieving plant goals and collaborate to find and implement effective solutions.
Ensure capacity is in alignment with growth estimates.
Reduce costs year over year (DVC and MBC) by driving productivity and sustainability.
Mentor and develop team members for career growth
Four year degree in Engineering, Management or equivalent related work experience
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred, but not required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
Prior experience in lean manufacturing and root cause analysis
Ability to drive process and culture change in a mature organization is highly desired.

Demonstrate ability to perform root cause analysis and develop action plans to strategically eliminate barriers
Ability to identify waste and drive it out of complex processes
