Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to become an integral part of our team You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery within the production facility. Performing general labor duties as well.

This position is a 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) in the area of Chicago IL. This is a temp-to-hire position, they are seeking for reliable candidates. You must be able to work Overtime when needed.

Responsibilities: Preventative Maintenance: Inspecting machinery for potential issues, lubricating parts, cleaning components, and performing scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns. Diagnosing mechanical faults on production equipment Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns on the production line Maintaining inventory of spare parts, ordering replacements as needed Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed Identifying and fixing mechanical issues, assembling, and disassembling equipment, adjusting machine settings etc. Qualifications: Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic is required Must be authorized to work in the U.S Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and safety procedures Ability to handle physical workload Ability to multitask and prioritize Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams to understand machine assembly and repair procedures
