Manufacturing Lead

What is the Job?

• Learns and understands the production and packaging departments.

• Leads personnel in daily activities.

• Works on the manufacturing line to cover employee breaks.

• Troubleshoots mechanical and quality issues.

• Oversees that housekeeping is completed throughout the shift.

• Communicates daily to the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager.

• Ability to use computer programs, including MS Office products.

• Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Maintains work area according to plant standards for safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.

• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

• All other tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, wallboard manufacturing preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.

• Ability to effectively communicate to team and management.

• Ability to use technology and write reports.

What is the Schedule?

• We are seeking to fill the following shift: 10 am-6:30 pm, with flexibility for earlier or later according to the business need.

• Weekend availability is required.

What is the Pay?

Hourly wage offered: $30 - $35 per hour (depending on experience).

Here at our Newark location, we make Gypsum Wallboard. Your job as a Production Lead is the responsibility of leading the activities of manufacturing personnel in production, troubleshooting personnel and quality problems, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
