We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Excellerate team as a Manufacturing Lead. This position is responsible for leading a crew of approximately 10 people within a cell, in the assembly, fabrication and packaging and shipping of assemblies for jobsite installation.

We are looking for an individual who possess a high school diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of previous assembly experience for the Level 1 role and a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of Faith Manufacturing/Lead experience for the Level 2 role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: LEVEL 1

  • All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied.

  • Works within a warehouse bench assembly environment.

  • Reads and Interprets Blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Maintains compliance with company policies.

  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.

  • Attends company meetings as required by supervisor.

  • Identify ways to improve processes and participate in implementing those improvements.

  • Contributes performance feedback for performance evaluations.

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Responsible for all aspects of production within a manufacturing cell including, but not limited to:

  • Leads and adheres to 6S principles ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

  • Gives direction to a crew of approximately 10 people.

  • Conduct all cell specific production tasks, ability to quickly learn any new tasks that may arise.

  • Cleans and maintains tools, test equipment, and work area.

  • Performs material handling duties and manages raw material inventory within production cell to ensure the proper raw material levels are maintained.

  • Conducts in-process quality checks to ensure on-going production quality.

  • Conducts training verifications of General Assemblers on cell specific production skills.

  • Prioritizes work based on due dates and manpower to ensure on time completion of work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: LEVEL 2

  • All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied.

  • Manage Cell raw material inventory to ensure proper raw material levels are maintained.

  • Prioritizes work based on due dates and manpower to ensure on time completion of work.

  • Responsible for all aspects of production associated with specific field jobs as directed by a Value Stream Leader

  • Act as Value Stream Leader back-up to ensure production can proceed when the VSL is not present.

  • Ability to communicate with field personnel when production questions arise.

Runs mostly standard work and basic manual numbering may be required. Automated or basic setups and changeovers may be required. Accountabilities: * Perform a complete set-up of press in an efficient manner, which may include: identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water levels, assuring accurate single-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, thermo unit, etc. * Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press productively while, meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customer's expectations. * Maintain the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrate the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, wash up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required. * Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understand all press controls and demonstrate their use. * Maintain knowledge of the press, current printing processes and develop continuous process improvements that support the Lean philosophy and work environment. * Maintain company quality standards, service levels and customer expectations by meeting or exceeding department/cell goals and customer specifications. Examples may include: maintaining acceptable ink densities, troubleshooting lithographic press settings and willingness to cross train other team members. * Contribute toward team effectiveness and workflow efficiency by rotating duties as needed. * Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. * Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. * Support operations and contribute toward team results by performing other production or related jobs as required. * Position may include other duties as determined by the company.
