Description

We are looking for a talented IT Support Associate to join our team specializing in IT Manufacturing Site Support for our Corporate Business segment in Hartford, CT.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Works autonomously to provide system operational support, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of IT resources and systems for end users.

  • Performs IT production support for assigned area(s) according to documented processes.

  • Manages process documentation and standards.

  • Diagnoses and problem-solve issues with IT hardware or software components with little or no direction.

  • Troubleshoot assigned issues per department standards to resolution with the responsibility to circle back with the customer to confirm resolution.

  • Proactively identifies potential issues and provides solutions.

  • Uses Incident Management system to manage reported issues or requests submitted by end users and log any actions or support provided. Analyze data to identify trends and take necessary action.

  • Assists with additional IT responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education. or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Associate Degree, relevant industry training, certification or equivalent experience preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Additional Information

  • Assist with setup and monitoring of data closet equipment including servers and UPS.

  • Monitor and report on general site health status including data closet equipment, servers, network, and clients.

  • Assist with the running of cables and provide guidance to local team on cable runs and termination.

  • Escort vendors within the site so they can do maintenance tasks on data closet systems.

  • Assist the site lead with server operations as needed.

  • Set up new servers and clients according to documented processes.

  • Perform standard maintenance tasks on clients and servers including patches, agent install, and incident troubleshooting.

  • Maintain and document all network IDF changes and port mappings.

  • Collaborate with the plant staff in order to foster open communication with CBS and ensure all devices on site are used in accordance with CBS IT best practices.

  • Windows XP through 10, and server 2008 through 2019 experience is a plus.

  • Previous familiarity with network infrastructure including TCP/IP, switching, common network devices, antivirus systems, and active directory and basic window security settings is preferred.

  • Strong technical aptitude using standard IT software including MS Office, Telnet, Putty, remote desktop, MS Teams, and SharePoint.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $63,360 - $95,040

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
