Job Summary

The Shop Controller position will be responsible for assisting in eliminating work flow constraints for the area(s) assigned and providing statistical data showing details of work placement. Functions will include data entry and direct communication with 3Q6S, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, etc.

Job Description

• Identify daily current state in assigned area(s).

• Communicate with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, etc. to achieve quickest resolution possible in efforts to reach 100% schedule attainment within the assigned department(s).

• Assist in work flow constraints to maximize productivity within the assigned department(s).

• Track issues for assigned area(s).

• Track production thru the departments and communicate status as needed to help maximize output and limit delays.

• Oracle open order report reviews for assigned area(s).

• Master Schedule reviews for assigned area(s) to flag spikes in demand and then collaborate with Operations on plan to overcome.

• Order Tracker meeting representative as needed to help coordinate material flow to maximize the overall plant OTD metric.

COMPETENCIES:

Minimum

• Proficient computer skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Oracle Applications

Preferred

• Ability to work independently

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of Assembly & Motor layouts

• Basic knowledge of the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• Good communication skills - Verbal & Written

• Ability to work in a team-oriented setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous employment in manufacturing

• Leadership experience

• Problem solving experience
