Position Overview

This position assists Manufacturing and Packaging staff in the maintenance and operation of packaging and manufacturing equipment.

Work Assignment

This is a second shift position assigned to 3:30 pm to midnight.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Equipment Management: Repair, maintain, set-up, alter/modify, and make installations to packaging and manufacturing equipment; locate and diagnose issues with manufacturing and packaging equipment

  • Line Operations: Safely and efficiently perform line changeovers on the Packaging Lines

  • Quality: Ensure the quality of work, products, and services as a first priority; comply with or exceed or exceed all regulatory and cGMP compliance standards as well as ensure accuracy and analyses as it relates to right first-time measures

  • Safety: Adhere to all workplace safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices and actively advance a culture of safety within his or her team and organization

Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Align and partner with manufacturing and packaging staff, users, and various vendors to continuously improve operations

  • Coordinate repairs and installations with facilities staff, contractors, and users to minimize interruptions

  • Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications

  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on manufacturing and packaging equipment

  • Perform changeovers and set up packaging equipment

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of applicable experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging equipment set-up, maintenance, and operation

  • Associate's degree in related field plus one year of applicable experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging equipment set-up, maintenance, and operation

  • Possess or have the ability to learn troubleshooting, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical drawings

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs unassisted

  • Majority of work day is performed while standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing

  • Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing

  • Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations

  • Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and climbing

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients
