POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Machine Shop's Technical Team, the Engineering Technician will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes, allowing us to meet our customers' quality and delivery demands. This includes ownership of part routings, machining processes for CNC machines, operator work instructions, inspection criteria, and other aspects of process control. This position is located in West Chester, PA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
Specify manufacturing methods, part routings, and CNC programs
Create and improve standard work
Create and update process documentation. This includes work instructions and training documentation.
Specify and order gages, tooling, and equipment
Design and document fixturing and tools using CAD/CAM software
Systematically reduce machine set-up times (SMED)
Set-up, and operate machines where direct labor associates are not available
Perform basic troubleshooting or repairs of equipment
Complete initial mechanical and electrical root cause analysis for equipment failures
Perform equipment validation or calibration as needed
Perform root cause analysis and countermeasure development for quality issues
Work closely with Quality Assurance to perform failure analysis for defective components
Submit deviation and Engineering Change Order requests as needed
Train and audit machine operators
Point of contact for technical questions and challenges from operators
Utilize the Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to continuously improve our processes; via Daily Management and by participating in Kaizen events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree or higher in mechanical discipline preferred
3 years experience programming and setup of CNC lathes/mills
Swiss lathe experience preferred
Experience working in a Quality Management System preferred (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100)
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
