Stryker's Medical and Surgical equipment manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo, Michigan is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This role will be responsible for direct management of Manufacturing Engineers including, developing and directing team resources and new employee recruiting.
Arrange resources to meet new product and production customer service needs.
Plan, organizing, and implement training on manufacturing systems and procedures.
Develop goals and metrics of the manufacturing engineering team directly related to production unit support.
Understand capital needs to maintain business requirements via capital expenditure requests, new product introduction, expanding manufacturing capacity, department budgets and driving cost savings.
Assist subcontractors in resolving manufacturing and quality related issues.
Assist customers in resolving product issues including line downs, repairs, non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions.
Sets overall group goals and priorities and evaluates subordinate's performance based on those goals/priorities.
Drive overall plant strategy including visions for team, plant metrics, and building a supportive and inclusive manufacturing team environment.
Driving cohesive and collaborative manufacturing strategy, building cross functional partnerships between plant stakeholders.
Responsible for mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Previous experience managing manufacturing capital budgets and cost reduction strategies - preferred.
Ability to implement qualified processes using applicable systems (process validation, process planning tools, design of experiments, manufacturing assembly procedures)
