Job Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field

  • Minimum Experience: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with a minimum GPA of 2.75

  • Specialized Knowledge:
    Knowledge of business ethics and office management procedures. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Special Skills:
    Robotics, to programming, Ability to operate standard office equipment.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization skills. Ability to follow written and verbal direction. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Knowledge in production processes (desirable).

Basic knowledge of: Lean Manufacturing, Process Development.

Specialized knowledge: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Solid Works, CAD, Statistics.

Interns within the Field Operations group will be responsible for performing site surveys, making project updates in Netbuild, attending project update calls, scheduling and coordinating work, testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cable, and attending preconstruction meetings. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: * Prior exposure to permitting, engineering, contractor management, fiber splicing, project management, different types of underground and aerial cable plant installation and maintenance. * OSP construction knowledge with ability to read/red-line construction drawings to facilitate new builds, relocations and emergency repairs. * Excellent interpersonal, coaching, managerial, and leadership skills. * Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills * Strong problem-solving skills * Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines * Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented * Capable of multi-tasking efficiently * Quick learner and not afraid to work with new technology * Professional attitude Minimum Requirements: * Classification: currently enrolled as Junior, Senior or Graduate status at a 4-year accredited College or University by start of internship * Working towards a degree in IT/Engineering/Construction or related field of study * 3.0 or above cumulative GPA * Ability to perform a wide spectrum of complex assignments requiring alternative analysis, innovation and judgment. * Ability to assume responsibility for contribution to the success of major or multiple projects, and is periodically called upon to make decisions. * Must be proficient in MS Office applications, databases, and flowcharts. * Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities. * Ability to prioritize with good time management skills. * A valid driver's license with a current satisfactory driving record.
