Manufacturing Engineer

This Manufacturing Engineer role bridges the gap between Manufacturing Engineering and our technical suppliers in IT and Test Development. They will translate the needs of our business into clear technical requirements and help architect the necessary technical solutions. They will be the primary support for the factory to root cause issues with technical tools and drive improvements. They will ensure that our suite of technologies is fit to our purpose and is adaptable to our changing business.

What You'll Do

• SFC/MES/ERP/WMS Architecture

o Work with developers to establish the correct development path for Mfg tools.

o Define the technical requirements for new modules.

o Review requests to eliminate conflicts and simplify the tools.

o Represent Manufacturing interests in discussions on SFC.

o Align satellite sites with latest updates.

• SFC Support

o Respond to and resolve mfg tool interruptions in the factory.

o Root cause interruptions and provide corrective actions.

o Review common trends to drive tool improvement with dev teams.

• SBI Collaboration

o Work with IEs to ensure analysis standards align with factory operation.

o Identify key metric gaps and methodologies.

o Determine new data collection methods when required.

• Test Dashboard Support

o Work with development teams to ensure methodologies are consistent with other tools.

o Help user base convert requested features into technical requirements.

• Mfg Technology EcoSystem

o Work with MfgEng team to validate new technologies.

o Ensure those tools will integrate into the larger ecosystem.

o Define requirements for interoperability of various technologies.

What You bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Industrial/Electrical/Computer Engineering

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with software development cycle

• Proficiency with Java, Python, SQL, C++

• Familiarity with CSS, Markup

• Experience with and passion for Continuous Improvement, Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies

• Capability to apply technical expertise in changeable or varied scenarios

• Problem solving skills with an emphasis on collaboration and flexibility

• Analytical skills, including the ability to mine data to draw meaningful conclusions

• Familiarity with Data Analytics best practices

• Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences

• Ability to consolidate information from numerous sources into a plan/direction for the organization

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word
